Real troubleshooting from start to finish... I must say so far u seem to be the best presenter of this trade, touching every aspect of the problem at hand.. I love it... I pray that you have more I'll check all other videos on this channel... U r a good teacher.

Great tip about recharging 'dead' battery. I already knew that you can revive "dead" lithium battery by bringing it back to minimum level of charge, but drililng tiny hole on sides of the battery to recharge it instead of cracking the battery case open is a huge tip! thank you

@Electronics Repair School: thank you for this video, I followed the steps and my daughter's laptop Accer now works again with a battery, it was "dead"

*1.* 5:30 This is a *GREAT* video, and a *GREAT* battery trick! I just did this trick on a 6-cell Toshiba battery pack which showed "plugged in, not charging." Your trick worked perfectly! It only took me about five minutes (plus time watching videos).

First I watched some other youtube videos, in which they disassembled battery packs similar to my Toshiba's 10.8v / 11.1v six-cell pack. They showed that the six batteries are just a series string of three ganged pairs. So I did what you suggested: I drilled a tiny hole in each end, pressed my DVM leads through the holes, and measured the voltage: a bit over 8v. I then clipped the DVM leads to a 12v car battery with double-clip leads, poked them through the holes, and watched the voltage climb from about 8v to a little over 10v. Then I put the battery back into the laptop, and over the next couple of hours it charged up completely!

*2.* The "magic bullet" that solved my *lower back pain* problem was to do *"crunches."* Just a minute or two of exercise each morning, in bed -- and if you start to feel discomfort then stop, it means that you are done for the day. In just a couple of weeks -- probably no more than 30 minutes total time expended -- you'll probably see major improvement. Searching YouTube finds many "how to" videos; here's one:

Note: crunches are the cure for moderate lower back pain, not upper back, and not for serious problems like herniated disks. They strengthen your abs, which support the lower half of your S-shaped spine.

Hello, Hope your back is better.
The processor has cooling plate, it gets cooled from the air that the fan cycles through entire inside of laptop.
Low power processor has enough cooling even without a copper medium between them.
Without fan air circulation is too little to cool, and it will blue screen when put to work hard enough.
It is not fake battery or laptop.
You say it is not normal, But there is no normalisation on rules set how they built up battery pack.
There is no normal, it just different then you expected it.
Thanks for sharing anyhow good explaining.

Good day Mr. Craft

P.s. I always missing exactly the tool I need, to find it later when I already done lol

Thanks for a great vídeo. The battery tip was perfect. It came in handy as I checked the battery of an Acer laptop. My Daughter went to your country for Six months as an Erasmus student. She liked it very much, do did I when I visited her. Kind regards from Portugal.

The battery has 2 negative pins on its connector usually side by side. one going to the negative of the cells. When The battery detects both pins connected to ground it will allow you to read the voltage of the cells and charge the battery via the main connector.

Nice easy fix in the end with it being just the positive connection on the power input - good hack on injecting charge into the battery too to get the pack going. The Medion brand is the cheap tat they sell in Aldi - don't see why they would bother with a fan if it did nothing as it adds extra cost - if you look at the casing vents, it probably draws air over the processor from underneath and out the side without the use of a heatsink which would add further cost - not the best cooling solution but then it's meant to be cheap ;)

I tried with an Asus battery (X55C if I remember well...) and damn, the internal battery cells were not disposed in plus-minus sequence as always (very weird). I opened carefully the enclosure and I applied the voltage on the right point. And battery live again. Thanks!

Sir, could you please do a video or stream on how to use the power supply on the motherboard and when to increase or reduce the voltage or amps

What is the voltage at the pins where the battery is plugged in laptop. You know when you put the battery in the laptop, there are pins that gets connected to battery pins. What is the voltage I should expect when I remove the battery. I connected the laptop just to my charger and getting about 2.9 V at the pin that gets connected to battery when you put it.

Shot brother clever when you drilled a hole in each end I thought well why didn't I think of that
