I just bought one today on a whim looking forward to the syrup getting delivered tomorrow.

it doesn't turn the ice into shavings, it turns them into small ice cubes, like the ones you get from the ice machines at fast food restaurants... yes, even on the "fine" setting.
On the plus side, you can use any fruit squash instead of the "syrup"

Thought I’d add this here because nowhere in the video does it say this.

You’re supposed to add water to the syrup. When you do that and then add the ice it slushes up better, rather than making small ice cubes. It says on the syrup packaging to add water, surprised it isn’t mentioned in the video.

The ice is way too thick from this machine...even on the fine setting

this machine is terrible. You may aswell throw ice cubes and syrup in a blender. Bought it thinking it made the ice too 🤣
