Next year, Rhea returned to the Mae Young Classic against MJ Jenkins. Rhea hit Jenkins with the Pump Handle Powerbomb to advance. In the second round, Rhea faced Kacy Catanzaro and Rhea advanced. In the quarter finals, Rhea faced Tegan Nox. Rhea hit Nox with a dropkick and Rhea advanced by referee’s decision. In the semi final, Rhea faced Io Shirai. Shirai hit Rhea with a moonsault to advance. A month later, Rhea was in a tournament for the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Title and she faced Xia Brookside. Rhea called this the Riptide now and advanced. In the semi final, Rhea faced Dakota Kai and Rhea advanced. In the final, Rhea faced Toni Storm. Rhea hit Storm with the Riptide to pin her and to become the first ever Women’s Champion.
