Marklin BR80 with a short goods train

Running my newly aquired old Marklin 5700 gauge one BR80 German 0-6-0. This was Marklin's first model when they restarted making gauge 1 trains in the 1960s and 70's. Using their common spur gear drive as is used in the early HO models, its a bit noisy by today's standards, but super reliable. Will just run for hours and hours. These run on AC power like the HO Marklin, but can be converted to DC power with a replacement magnet/field set up from ESU. The hollow plastic shell helps amplify the motor and gear noise. I might try some sound damping material inside of it to help with that a bit.

I really like the metal railcars and the glass roofed station. Classic.
