Kim Kardashian REVEALS Alternate Names For Chicago West on KUWTK

Kim Kardashian revealed that she considered several other names for Chicago and was not happy with Kanye’s initial name suggestions.

I used to struggle just to name stuffed animals when I was little, I can’t imagine trying to do it for a kid.

Baby Chi made her television debut on Keeping Up with the Kardashians last night and it was revealed that the selection of her name wasn't easy. When speaking to her sisters in the episode Kim said she contemplated naming Chi, Rei, Jo, or Grace because she's really into short, one syllable names.

She even admitted that she's not crazy about the name Chicago and calls her “Chi” because she doesn’t think it flows without a middle name. But ultimately she said they decided on the name “Chicago” to honor Kanye’s mother. She said QUOTE - "Kanye is originally from Chicago and the city is really connected to his memories of his mom.”

However the suggestions from Kanye’s fam in the beginning weren't exactly her personal favorite. She said QUOTE - "His cousin’s like, I know, Miracle and I’m like 'Miracle West?' That sounds like Miracle Whip and that’s like the biggest stripper name of all time. And then he’s like 'what about Precious' and I’m like 'Okay, we just clearly don’t have the same taste in names.'"

Kim also suggested other one syllable names as well as destinations including Italy, Milan, Rome and also considered zodiac signs and biblical names such as Aaron and Abel. She also said there were some wildcard ideas in the mix including “Queen,” “Vuitton,” and “This” but ultimately they landed on Chicago which I think is actually really dope. And as far as unique baby names go, to this day I think the wildcard name that takes the cake is Jason Lee’s kid whose name is Pilot Inspektor.
