About Street Legal:
The reboot of the Canadian series sees Dale reprise her role as Olivia Novak, with Cara Ricketts (The Book of Negroes), Steve Lund(Bitten) and Yvonne Chapman (The Crossing) joining the series as the next generation of Toronto lawyers fighting the good fight. Original cast members Eric Peterson (“Leon Robinovitch”) and Anthony Sherwood (“Dillon Beck”) are also confirmed to return for special guest appearances.

A CBC original series, STREET LEGAL is co-produced by IGP and Broken Clown Productions. Bernie Zukerman (Remedy, King) is Executive Producer. Bruce Smith (19-2) is Executive Producer and Showrunner. Any time I hear Street Legal, Oscar Leroy (Eric Peterson) immediately comes to mind with "Street Legal sucks!" (although I'm sure this series will be great)

I loved Olivia, she had the most beautiful lips I have seen in my life... It´s a little sad that Robinovitch and Tchobanian weren´t for this season... I don´t remember if those characters died in the plot. I respected too much Robinovitch´s personality, he was a wise man.

This trailer is better. The previous one made Olivia look like a psychopath in every scene.

Don't watch this terrible show. I feel like they need to be sent a barrage of email and letters about the terrible stereotypes that they perpetuated in this episode. Not all people who use substances have problem relationships with them (I will point you to alcohol). Not all people who are prescribed opiates develop problem relationships with them. Substance users in this first episode are portrayed as less than, objectified. Drugs are presented as the problems...not the larger social issues like stigma of substance users, poverty, inadequate access to health care and health care services, homelessness etc. Perhaps if there was not as much stigma people would feel comfortable using opiates in a supervised consumption site, or telling their family members so that they would not use alone. Perhaps if there were more community health supports people could be followed up more closely in the community and their complex pain needs could be met. Anyhoo...I hope there is some sort of response to this because people who use substances, people who have substance use issues, people who work in health care, people who work with people who have mental health and substance use issues, people who work in health care do not benefit from popular media distortions of substance use...
