how is the allocation of different db objects to a dbf is done. Manual or Auto? Is there a way we can check which db objects lies under which tablespace of a db schema?

My dropped tables are not logging into recyclebin of a created user named scott1. I have checked, the recyclebin is on. I have a temporary tablespace for my user. Still my recyclebin is always empty when i drop tables (i dont use purge) . Please help
