It's been an Oligarchy all the way back to Ronald Reagan, just think about it, the older GOP was ALL about limiting regulations on big businesses, (while pushing they were the "party of Family Values"), and similarly accepting large donations from private religious groups as well as from large corporations. But then, it was all done through Lobbyists, now it's all done through Super PACS and the Citizen's United SCOTUS ruling was done many, many decades ago, (long before Trump came along). The ONLY thing that makes this surprising is how they're blatantly obvious about it now. THAT'S what Trump did, he made it OK for every A**hole in America to be openly A**holy in public and on any screen.
