I just love seeing Akane Takada featured more in ballet videos (there's very few footage of her). Personally I think she is quite underrated compared to other principal ballerina in the Royal Ballet. She is a very graceful dancer and she also has amazing technique, being trained in both Bolshoi and the Royal Ballet. I wish people would appreciate her more.

She is lovely 🥰 I really enjoyed this closeup look at her in 3 difficult variations. She is so stable in her pirouettes en attitude, and what a beautiful position. I like seeing a single controlled pirouette in a lovely position. It gives me time to admire the beauty. Thanks for posting! 👏👏

Takada is a lovely dancer. While her Princess Florine is not my favourite of any of her roles, I can see why it was chosen. Her Titania variation was beautiful. I noticed that she has quite high arches on her feet, but her pointe shoes don't seem to fit, often causing her to knuckle (pull back the ankle). It might partly be due to lack of ankle strength, but her pointe shoes are clearly a very bad fit. Still, she was lovely in these variations.
