You just blew my mind when you said that the fascia runs all the way up to the head!

I was in agony from PF for months until my podiatrist suggested Hokas. They gave me immediate pain relief. I still wear them months after recovering from PF. Oofos also were great.

Really, really good advice. I'd stay off Hokas when you have active PF, but definitely return to the Hokas when your feet are healed and strengthened. They're easily one of the most cushioned shoes out there.

The arches need to be strengthened. Planter will just come back if you keep then casted in Hoka’s or any high drop shoe

I have plantar fascists and Hokas are the only sneaker I can wear without feeling pain
I'm a nurse and 8 hours of my feet.

My PT explained all of this to me. I could not explain it to others, but you made it so simple. Thank you SO MUCH for crushing this lame fat foam trend that is ruining the biomechanics of walking for so many ppl.

It seems to me that everyone is different. What works for one doesn't work for someone else.

Agree! My Hokas exacerbate my PF. I found a pair of Skechers max cushioning runners and use Dr. S heel pad inserts for daily life. Like walking on a cloud!

this woman is dead wrong in her advice. i have PF. bought some hokas before my disney world trip in anticipation of all the walking i was gonna do. back now a few days from the trip and my condition actually improved because of the shoes. when i wake up each day the pain on my foot is 75% less than what it was before.

I wear Hoka for wide pronated midfoot arthritis... and chronic plantar fasciitis.
They're wide and deep enough to place my diabetic orthotics inside, and have substantial padding so my heel is cushioned.

I started experiencing PF shortly after swapping to the Bondi. I went thru two rounds of injections over the next year. I stop wearing Hoka and it has all but went away. The Bondi is the most comfortable show ive ever worn but it is without any doubt the reason I developed condition.

Thank you! Hoka's are by far my most comfortable running shoes, but I've found that the last 2 times I've spent substantial time in them, my plantar fasciitis heel pain is excruciating in the morning! Hence my Google search that led me here . Will look into Super Feet.

I use Aetrex inserts with my Hokas. I have medium & wide widths Hokas. I suffer from Peripheral Neuropathy and Plantar Fasciitis in both feet. I can’t walk in any other type of shoe without extra pain.

I 100% agree. When I get a flare up, I wear brooks. My Hokas make it worse.

I have fixed the problem, took a while and I knew it would, I went to ultra zero drop. I have no more pain I can walk the way I used to walk and I’m a ecstatic. Also, I come from a background in Marshall Schwartz as an instructor for 30 years. So I have been stretching like crazy and working out. But, zero drop is what is 98% responsible for my recovery

Been wearing Hykes Escapes barefoot shoes and love them, will never go back to regular shoes.

HOKAs are the only shoe I can use with my PF. I stand for over 8 hours a day at work.
