The "playing in a jukebox at a bar where everyone's sad" comparison is spot on; it sounds like the songs I've heard in the background of sad bar scenes in older movies.  That sax at the end makes it for me.

to me, their debut is crazy good. i had that haunted and unsettleing thing about it, but i can see this being played on a bike ride at night in the summer! dat sax!!

there's a faint touch of Destroyer's Kaputt in this track. It's incredibly interesting to hear a Timber Timbre track that's so distinctly WARM (even if the lyrics are still quite yearning).
