Money, cost of living, taxes, aging roster, think I'm good in UConn

Nobody wanna go to LA just to be the scapegoat after being a play in team

Dan Hurley did right! He simply used the lakers offer as leverage for his next UCONN contract!!!

Hurley was never gonna leave Uconn, he just wanted Uconn to know what they were about to lose if they let him go. Seth Greenberg was way ahead of everyone's takes on this matter.

Let's look at his options.
Sign a $70 million dollar contract( ~$10 million after taxes)
Play with an aging roster.
Live every day of your life servicing a player that has way too much power and influence compared to his current performance.
Possibly being forced to draft that player's son, who is overhyped and has serious red flags, then be blamed if he doesn't turn into a superstar.
Am I missing anything?
This doesn't sound like that great of an opportunity if you ask me.

Don’t no body want to go coach a 40 year old LeGM, be forced to develop Brony, and be the scapegoat when it all comes crashing down. That front office is so dysfunctional, it’s hilarious. They can’t keep a roster together to save their lives.

Why would he leave Ucon? Being happy at your job and with the people around you means everything. The LA coaching job is toxic🤣

The fact that they weren’t going to allow him to pick his own staff speaks volumes

NBA drama is better than the NBA Finals 😆

Jeanie Buss is one of the poorest owners in the league. It was $70M/6-years. Ty Lue got the same $70M but only 5 years. Jeanie should’ve offered $100M/5. He would’ve took an annual $20M payday without hesitation.

This is not the Lakers of Dr. Buss. This is the Los Angeles Klutch Sports club now 💀💀💀

Lakers front office is awful. They need to clean house and then try to create real stability.

“Even though Frank Vogel brought a title” the Vogel disrespect is crazy

We got the Celtics up 2-0 in the finals and they’re her talking about the lakers HC job… ridiculous

I’d also choose stability and less stress over being a Laker coach.

The top marginal tax rate in CT is 6.99%. The top rate in CA is 13.3%, my large friends.

so If you think about it. DH used LA to up his salary from uconn 😂. Got to fly private, all expenses covered free vacay off La dîmes. HE didn't plan on leaving in the first place 😂

This has nothign to do with money. It's to do with every Lebron coach getting the blame for not being able to win with a team that he forced to be gutted. Why give up your NCAA legacy for a 2 year run in the nba.

I'd take job security in UConn over coaching the Lakers any day of the week.
