2004 Ford Explorer 4.6L V8 0-60+

My dad just got one of these 2004 ford explorer 4.6, it gots 128k miles and looks very clean not one spec of rust 👀 but i drove it the other day and when i press the gas theres a lil bit of delay any idea what that would be?

I will have a lokk at a 4.6 V8 with about 185 k miles on it. Do they stand even more?

Tuning it to shift at 6, 000 would be a waste these engines max out at like 5, 000 rpm and after that fall off
