This goes to show that cultural and moral entropy will gradually make everything worse unless people actively push back against it. Imagine what a medieval peasant in France would think of twerking Santa--they wouldn't be able to comprehend how Christmas became this way.

But hindsight is 2020 vision, so we can comprehend it; historically, Christ's Mass was a sacred Christian Holy-day, rivaled only by Easter Vigil (celebrating the Ressurection of Christ), and you can't go straight from "beloved and sacred Holy-day in all of Christendom" to "twerking Santa toys" directly. It just isn't possible to go straight from the former (something sincere and sacred) to the latter (vapid and degenerate).

In order for this to occur, it was first necessary to make Christ's Mass a "corporate" or secular holiday, and once it lost its sacred quality and became a corporate holiday that even non-Christians celebrate, only then was it possible for new levels of degradation to sweep in and make it totally degenerate.

The only way to reverse this is to go back to the roots of what we celebrate; this Christmas season, read the nativity from the gospels to your children, teach them about Saint Nicholas and his role at the Council of Nicea, go to Mass, and stay away from the modern equivalents of Sodom and Gomorrah.
