I like how the paint is translucent. You can see that the horse is a pretty bay colour, but some of the wood grain still shines through. Well done!

❤ stunning craftsmanship. I also think staining or just oiling would be prettier, but its gorgeous either way. I personally like the look of "painting" with stain so that it has the feel of multiple colours but you still see the grain through.

North to South grain orientation has to be precise and is so crucial! Gorgeous piece!
