Why didn’t I know this? I use soapy water to test leaks in tires also. Haha!! Thanks for the tip!

That's pretty cool and simple. Think I started to notice a leak in my RV particularly one my hot water tank is on with propane as the source. Is it likely the cable leading up to the hot water tank or somewhere in the tank itself do you think?

Hi! What about the plastic piece that connects to the tank itself? The side that is facing the tank?

Best to put that soapy water in a little spray bottle, and squirt the area of concern.

I do this for work. Soapy water is corrosive.

How about in a truck camper? I'd practically have to tear it apart to put soapy water on everything

Me Again.
I don't believe that I delivered my last message properly.
So, one more time?

When I went thru 2
20lb tanks in a week. It became obvious id a leak in my line.
SOMEWHERE.
1st thing, I "Bubble Tested' the connections at /on the hitch. Where you bite into line that enters the trailer it seemed obvious that the individual tank connections would be fine. I will swing BACK to"tank connector queries" in a moment
They did pass the SOAP BUBBLE TEST. which leads me to where I hit a Roadblock.
1st things 1st : SPIDERS!
BlackWidows specifically.
I have seen & Eliminated MANY, Impressive in size( poker chip!)
B.Widows. By the wheels the hitch, & the entry steps. So GOD KNOWS what lurks in the DARK BELOW. Where I need to crawl w/ my Soap Bottle. To find the source of my leak .
I have NO Idea what to expect under there. And as Widows are attracted to light(so I've read) I'm reluctant to drag a drop-lite under there with me.
So, to recap:
Obvious leak.
All exposed connections appear ok
That said, seems the line on the under side of the trailer is where it must be. BUT, it is F-ING SPIDERLAND Under there. And I know this as I have DESTROYED a handful of Huge Black Widow Spiders. That have bivouaced in Plain Sight'@ : the wheels
the hitch &
the entrance.
steps..
