It is wild that several of these controllers exist and the manufacturer didn't think to add one or two millimeters slack so that phones would fit snugly in their cases

This was the best review. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm a huge fan.
I decided on the Gamesir, thank you.

Great video as usual Russ 🙂 I'm an Android user but this is a great option for iOS users, I will recommend this one to my friends with iPhones.

Couldn't agree more. Absolutely love my backbone but hate having to take my case off every time.

Thanks for the review! I've been looking for a good controller option for my iPhone, but having to take my case off for the Backbone is kind of a dealbreaker for me. Glad to see Gamesir finally made an iPhone version!

Awesome review/comparison. Glad you pointed out that you have to remove the case to use the backbone, even though I love the form factor of that controller I think that’s a bit of a deal breaker for me.

I loved the comparison video review as these two controllers have interested me for awhile but haven’t gotten one yet. Great review.

Honestly, the GameSir one impresses me more than the Backbone, but I think a lot of it is I just like the look for it a lot more. Agreed from my (limited) hands-on impressions, though, that the Backbone's grips are comfier.

No analog is a deal breaker for me, also I feel it should have had sticks like the 3ds, because it is compact enough to not feel as comfortable but has sticks so you can't fit it into a pocket

Great comparison and thorough review. I'll probably get the backbone for my old android device that I don't need a case for.

I expected to see the Razer Kishi compared too but it was good to see the Backbone as well.

I honestly am baffled that the Backbone controller isn’t case friendly. Thanks for pointing out the GameSir for me Russ, I will likely pick this up and if a Backbone 2 materializes I will get that.

The whole case thing sells the gamesir for me. No way I’m taking the case off and on all the time
