How to create a grid using a shapefile. Regression Kriging. #1 Interpolation Grid.

In this section of the lesson, you will learn how to create an interpolation grid using a shapefile in R.

This is the third lesson of the 4th geostatistics Course. Kriging and cokriging interpolation and mapping.

In this lesson is about regression kriging (RK). We are going to see how to create different deterministic models, focusing on:
Ordinary Least Square (OLS)
Generalized Least Square (GLS)
Generalized Additive models (GAM)
Thin-Plate Spline Interpolation (TPS)

The goal is to create interpolated trend surfaces with the fitted values associated to the different models, and the ordinary kriging with the residual values. At the end we are going to export all the models to QGIS to get the final Regression Kriging interpolated map.
