I'm not sure what I expected, but this wasn't it. I know how to use a ruler and a straight edge, but my results are never "perfect" when I try to draw a grid. After watching this video I still can't draw a perfect grid.

I always thought that drawing will give me problems until I realized that actually making grids is real pain in the ass. Especially on A3 format where I have to grid whole freaking paper in 5 x 5 mm for art class.

Just a note: a ‘notch’ is an indentation. Tick marks is what you call the small lines you use to measure off increments.
