Being curious about the song’s history, I googled and found that it was written by Jerry Beach….born 1941, died 2016. Beach was a blues guitarist and songwriter who was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 1998. The song was first recorded by Geater Davis in 1969 and later released by Albert King in 1972. Many artists covered it over the years, including Gary Moore.

So I saw this guitar on YouTube earlier this week. Albert king and Stevie ray vaughn where performing together in 1983 in Canada. This proves that blues never died. It was just reincarnated. 😊
