All this fancy AI tech and power stuff is great . . . but will the eShop have music?

Nintendo Switch 2 is gonna be impressive, no doubt.

thank you for crediting doctre, the guy is hella underrated.

The upscaling that I’ve seen is pretty good. But that’s Nvidia? So the S2 is going to have an AI GPU, which would probably less processor intensive and battery hungry.

Maybe that’s the performance we’ve been hearing about in the leaks?

I want a Remaster of Kid Icarus Uprising on this new System.

Tensor cores perform inference (uh, not pronounced infeerence, its like infer) on sparse data sets. That's what dlss is. It's also what running inference on all ai models is.

The t239 has 48 tensor cores, we've known this for a year and a half when lapsu$ attacked nvidia. Thats when we knew dlss was in play.

Dlss is already on lock. Tensor cores perform dlss extremely fast, so fast people trying to run metrics on their system using nvidia insight thought Tensor cores were a scam because they didn't set their polling high enough to catch them in action, as they completed dlss to 2160p in 0.2 MS. A 60fps frame is 16.6 ms. 0.2 ms out of 16.6 ms. Now that's about 16x faster than 48 ampere tensor cores downclocked to something like 1 ghz, but even 3 something ms is a tiny fraction of render time, especially considering it gets you a 4k frame. Tensor cores are massively under utilized, yet they have by far the most compute on the gpu. Thats what this hiring spree is about, nintendo wants to find ways to use all that wasted time for the most powerful part of its hardware instead of it sitting around doing nothing 90% of the time.

All this better hardware is amazing for Nintendo considering I believe the SNES was one of the last consoles Nintendo produced that was as good or better than competitors, but all I want is more personality in the menus and better a online that doesn't lag 24/7.

We have to realize Nintendo even with the Switch.. they are back to pushing the most power they can like the early days... just in the portable market instead. Switch 2 will be so powerful that people won't care about power anymore... for the first time

AI and machine learning has a lot more applications in gaming than just DLSS. The possibilities are literally endless and Nintendo is one of the most creative companies out there. This is just confirmation of technology exploration.

As someone who follows machine learning and AI closely, this is very exiting and I thought before how cool all this could be. Imagine a Open world Zelda game full of NPCs that are powered by AI. Imagine combining Zelda with Baldur's gate and you will be close. That is my dream.

Hi Nintendo prime are you going to be covering the Tokyo game show?

It's also possible that they changed the job due to an error on the original post. I think DLSS is likely. But they probably already have that person at this point. If they are just now hiring for that then we won't have the next Switch anytime soon.

I want all this, and a more powerful system than the Series X. I want it to be the most powerful console ever made.

We already know the new Switch is using the T239?

To me this isn't definitive. Maybe they saw DLSS being posted and they updated the listing to remove that thought at all. As a software engineer, it's pretty damn important I know what the job listing is asking for in order for me to even apply in the first place. And if the job listing isn't as accurate anymore, then Nintendo risks getting candidates that are not the quality they were looking for.

I really hope Nintendo brings 120fps atleast for docked mode

This is kind of a no brainer.

Buuut, there is a issue here. DLSS take a lite more processing power than Super resolution does. Its really just a point with it if the per pixel fidelity is quite high.

Of cause, i guess, with a generation after the current swich, the if the resolution is keeped the per pixel fidelity (at least in portable mode) can be increased 3 or 4 times making DLSS somewhat viable.

For docked mode, i guess, better cooling and more power can solve a lot.

Ok, forgive my ignorance but does this significantly affect pricing of a console?
