As a Michael, and on behalf of all other Michaels, I welcome this new Michael to the fold of Michaels.

“27 is a little too old to be named Tanner I agree” is one of the funniest lines.

as a trans man, bro this hit kinda hard :( hearing him immediately say the name he wants and sounding so sincere when he says thank you... and the "im michael" at the end 🥲

ONE OF US. ONE OF US. ONE OF US. Welcome fellow Michael. Now you either have to become an addict or super successful, no in between. Fly or die my boy

Tanner at 27 sounds like a kid, but Tanner at 45 sounds like that one crazy uncle you liked a lot as a kid.

I changed my name 2 years ago at 20, incredible decision. Sometimes you don't fit your birth name.

This is the most wholesome one of these. We really need to normalize naming ourselves. Like, you get a “starter name” from your parents for obvious reasons. Then you can try out other names as a kid/adolescent/teenager. Then at 25, brain fully developed, we legally change it (if we want to) and there is a celebration where the official name is announced! Maybe your birth name becomes a middle name. It really is kinda weird that we are expected to go our whole lives being called a name that was usually picked out before we were even born, definitely before any of our personality comes out. And then parents get so emotionally attached to the NAME, seemingly moreso than the actual KID, judging by how they behave when a kid wants to change their name. I say this as a 39 year old. I especially don’t like being named after dead people… like a living memorial to someone YOU NEVER KNEW, or after a living person you maybe will get to know but you may not even like! I’m named after my aunt- alive and well and a total b——. Wtf.
