depends on the departure and arrival countries. Auztralia is very very serious about this because Australia is 99.9% free of all plant and animal diseases and Australis determined to keep it that way. Passengets travelling into Australia annt carry any foods with them fresh or processed, no exceptions whatever. Foods prepared / manufactured outside of Australia must be seriously tested before they depart their manufacturing country. Candy / fruit / sandwiches / herbs etc., are totally banned. All cabin bags are seriously search on arrival. Anything found which is banned is confiscated immediately, no discussion / no negotiation plus big fined. Get caught a second time means jail.

Spraying insecticide inside a plane while passengers are seated is highly irresponsible. Shouldn't it be done when the cabin is empty?
