Thanks for the review. I'm gobsmacked the TNF poles failed. I have a Kelty Salida 2 (older model) as well and it kept me dry on two trips, both with rain, the first trip I had to put the tent up in the rain. It went up so quickly. The second trip being the worst. It poured buckets. So glad I bought my Salida 2.

Just took mine out for the first time and it freaking poured buckets for about three hours overnight, and then after about a six hour reprieve it rained most of the afternoon, a long soaker. Dry, dry, everything dry. Big fan so far. I was using the available footprint that does not come with the tent, and changed out the bulky carrying bag it comes with for a stuff sack. I used a 20 ltr size, but had room to spare; might try a 15 ltr next time if it’ll squeeze in. Oh, I almost forgot. I’m from Mich, too. ✋🏻 Nice video. Epic wind shots from the inside.

I was camping by a Lake in Puerto Rico and suddenly I noticed everyone else packing their gear to leave. They said a tropical wave was about to hit I decided to stay in my Kelty TN2. There are villas and camping spots in this place. I stayed with my seven year old son and during the night the system arrived. What a night. Really heavy winds and wind all night long. The TN2 performed flawlessly. I mean a nasty storm and it took it. Even the people in the villas came to us during the morning to check on us. To be sincere it was the second night, we slept all night. I always say that on the first night while camping you do not get much sleep but on the second you sleep like a rock. I know it rained all night because they told me. Love my TN2. The plastic window have not peel off like many complain. Mine is like new.

Wondering if this tent can hold against a 50 or 60mph wind- most tents will blow down but pop back up...thoughts?
