Tricky Performance 10r80 roll race demonstration

Strictly in regards to Tricky Performance 10r80 tunes and customers. As simple as it is I’ve seen many guys do the more traditional S bump to D when roll racing. Trevor at Tricky Performance sets his up a bit different and it’s even more simple. Please don’t overthink it or anything it seems like it’s the simplest thing because it is.

I roll to 40mph in 2nd while in S using paddles, then I just bump it up to D as soon as I floor it before redline.

My car did this stock, and still does it with my Palm Beach Dyno tune. Also when I was stock and still on my PBD tune as well, if you keep it in S and Don't touch the paddles it will shift on its own as well, but way more aggressive shifts and at a higher rpm, and if you wanna go at higher rpms just stab the throttle real quick.

I have a question I see u have a base coyote with no drag mode I mean I know your modded and tuned but my question is would u be faster if u had a coyote with drag mode considering your same setup or any setup mod for mod will a coyote with drag mode be faster or does it not matter since your getting tuned anyways??

For some reason my stock 2022 gt premium does this. I don’t have to put it into s and then flick it back to d. All I do is put it into drag mode while being on D downshift and flooring it and it’ll shift on its own but I’m not sure if it’ll hold the gear for 40 sec. I think maybe u have to be quick with it or it’ll upshift on its own

I have a 2023 gy 301a package once i get my tricky sauce if i use drag mode would it be a difference compared to normal mode once tuned?

Now I know you have 10 speed but what gear do you go from a 60 roll in? Would it be the same for a 6 speed for that roll race demo video?

Would this apply to 6R80s as well? Can they do this with SCT or only HP tuners stuff?
