I was vehemently anti communist until I tried to learn enough to actually debunk it

The amount of crimes in Cuba is almost at its minimum especially compared to US and all the other countries in South America that are controlled by US

Went to Cuba in 2017 for a few days. My daughter wanted to go so I went with her. It’s beautiful and the people are friendly. We ate great food and enjoyed the sights. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My family’s from there also, which also made me a communist 🤣 half my family’s still there and the other half would still be there if the embargo didn’t prevent them from getting soap and things needed for daily living.

One thing most people don’t understand is when you’re blocked off from world currency and world trade things that don’t exist on the island won’t magically appear there.. so shortages are common… and because of there colonial past cuba really has no productive factors to its structure, it’s a giant sugar/ tobacco plantation with great social safety nets. Other then that the Opportunity to do other things is very limited and so is the access to goods and services.

If the embargo didn’t exist or was dropped tomorrow we’d see a different cuba develop out of the ruins of imperial sabotage, probably why we keep them embargoed still to this day tho. We can’t let others see it as a success or others will follow there lead.

To hell with the imperialist plot long live the revolution! 💪🚩🚩⚒️

My Mom's friend has visited Cuba and told me that the country was great, but currently suffering under US aggression. Yes, he did study the history of Cuba and how the US treated Cubans like slaves, until US Colonialism and Batista was overthrown in Cuba.

He did have a great time there and I wish I could visit Cuba one day.

Gringos telling Communists to move to Cuba isn't the flex they think it is, isn't it?

There are many Americans studying in medical school there for free and they get paid by the cuban Gov't every month.

I’m a pilot. I’ve travelled to 30 countries and lived in 6. I began my career as a vaguely libertarian capitalist. Today I’m a Marxist through and through.

Hey guys, I know it’s pro-Cuba hour here, but uh… Cuba is fucked. The economy is abhorrent, resulting in little help for the little guy, and instead focus being put on their totalitarian government. If it was so great people wouldn’t actively be trying to escape and claim asylum.

Go move there. Nobody is stopping you.

terrible point tons of countries have free healthcare and aren’t communist.

Not surprising given our approach to other healthcare topics, like how abortion bans are only ever a problem if you can't afford the occasional international trip.

Cuban anti-commies are funny. Don’t waste time arguing with them, just ask how exactly Cuba was better under Batista and watch them blunder
