Road to Zurich - Day 2 - Gavia and Stelvio

Our shortest day but our highest day. 3000 metres of elevation in 100 kilometres as we cross two of cyclings most iconic Italian passes. It wasn't easy but it was worth it. We lucked out on the descents especially considering it was was a Saturday, low traffic, dry roads, and calm winds. No one is forgetting this day for a long time.

Thanks to our partners for making this trip happen

How you guys have the energy, after such huge days in the saddle, to then go back to the hotel and edit these videos to this level of quality is simply outstanding 🔥🔥

Magic! Best of luck for the rest of the road! We are all watching what ever you guys give us!

I see they paved the top part of the climb. When I was there 3 years ago it was basically gravel, the pavement was that broken up. My all time favorite climb. Stoked to see this footage of it. Thanks!

Beautiful views and so calming to watch without the peloton creeping up your rear wheel. Roads are in terrific condition and no traffic.

Really brings back so many memories.
I honestly think I had one of the top 3 days of my life in Bormio. Stelvio (N to S) was my first real mountain pass. I was so nervous before the descent, and then it turned out to be one of the best feelings in the world (which makes me regular of this channel).
I was crying tears of joy (sounds cheesy but it's a fact) when we rolled into the warm valley air. We spend the entire rest of the day in the spa of our mostly empty ski resort and feasting on local specialities. Bliss.

I have done the exact same route 2 months ago. With Mortirolo the day before, but with lots of rain and emergency service stop at bike shop in Bormio. I feel you guys. You were pretty lucky with the weather!

Ciao SAFA. Looks like you're having a great time! Was just in the the Italian Alps last month and did the rides out of Bormio, Gavia and Stelvio. Already making plans for the next trip. Can't wait. Hope all is okay. Looking for Day 3. I know there's been some weather happening 😎.
