Pro tip: if you press middle mouse and open the command menu while aiming at surrendered suspect/civilian, you can order them to turn around (so they don't pull out a knife/gun when you get close) and order them to come to you or aim somewhere else for them to go to.

FYI you can tell compliant suspects to move to your location so you don't have to walk past them all the time

Fun addition: on Narco there is an officer talking to the neighbor that you can listen to, and on Dorm there is an officer talking with the wounded officer on the ambulance to get a bit more immersion.
