My S1 eventually got the BRAW update! The S1 is truly a S1H mini😂

@TurtleTIme had a question about grading 4:2:0 10 bit 4K60fps vs. 4:2:2, which was discussed around 37:30 or so. PhotoJoseph forgot to mention that you can export 4:2:2 10 bit 4K60fps (including vlog) over HDMI to any external recorder supporting that frame rate. (e.g. atomos shogun 7, black magic HDMI 12G 7", and the much less expensive ninja V).

the S1 is missing 10 bit FHD at 23.98/24fps, it may not be as important as 4k to many, but in my opinion this is a big oversight by Panasonic

I know this is compare s1 and s5. But to point out s1h does have low pass filter...
And I think that is why some people on youtube says when output proes raw from s5, they can see many alising.
And that won't happen with s1h.

i hope S1 will eventually get BRAW. Timecode thing is super stupid, why S5 still don't have hardware for TC sync, if S1 maybe because first but why S5 lacks that feature? Panasonic said on live stream that S1 don't have hardware for TC sync

I'm so glad you made this and I found it in time! I can now happily pull the trigger on the Lumix S5!
Hoping that BRAW eventually makes it's way in to the S5 since it's file sizes are much smaller and doesn't compromise on quality in any noticeable way.
