The fires in Evia this year so far were indeed in the north and south part of the island. The whole of Greece is mountainous 80% and full of forests. Fires usually occur when there is prolonged drought as this year has been, and strong winds. In most cases this takes effect in August which is the hottest and windiest month..Other than that March-July & September-November are great for cycling both road and mtb, not to mention our DH
