During my visit to Qatar back in 2012, I called a cab once and the driver happened to be an Afghani. The moment he realized I am Indian, he started talking cricket and how he is a huge fan of Sehwag. I was moved when he didn't charge me for my nearly 40 min ride, saying Afghanis consider Indians to be their brothers and sisters. That encounter was one of my biggest highlights of that visit.
