Philips 65PML9506 (Left) vs Sony XR-65X95J (Right)

Note: PML9506 is a bit washed out on the left side while X95J is on the right one. Both have VA panels so filming at this distance was not enough to get rid of VA color and contrast shift. Philips viewing angle is quite narrower than Sony's because Sony has x-wide angle filter which improves the viewing angle while Philips has none such a thing.

Hi, first of all i have this screen and i had x95j, so the picture is very personal.Sony have just crazy clouding, so for me this was very distracting.About black crush, i just rechecked the same movie with 3 different players, and i don't have such crazy black crush as you do.You right, this TV is far from perfect and HDR not so bright, but very depends on the content.In my country the price of x95j is twice from pml9506...and Sony not worth this money.Sony do have much better color reproduction, and gradient, but there is no real black, and there always be clouding.Thank you for the videos mate

Would you still buy the 75 9506 as a general TV for living room duties for HDR films and games ( 2 boys ) as I'm moving my c1 65 oled into the bedroom thanks for your videos

It seems that a new firmware has been released, a new firmware is available: TPM211EA: 101.1.3.215 for philips, please take a look if there are any fixes
