Kohler K241 Starter Solenoid HOW TO TEST

WHats going on everyone Rob here with a little video on this Kohler K241 10 HP engine. I have a 1973 Wheel Horse Tractor. I am fixing this Kohler 10 HP engine. It had a broke Connecting Rod and now I found out it had a bad Starter Solenoid. I am showing you how to test the Starter Solenoid on this Kohler engine. Many people put a ground wire on the 4th connection. The body of the starter solenoid is the ground for the starter solenoid, if the starter solenoid has 4 connections you only use 3 of the 4 connections. The main one in goes to the battery. The main out goes to the starter and the small one closest to the main in got to your ignition switch. I used a battery I have in the basement to test this starter solenoid. It does not have to be on the Kohler engine to test it. If the starter solenoid is good you will hear a click when you touch the positive to the battery as in the video. I have cross referenced this so much. I knew nothing about this Kohler K241 10 HP engine and I am teaching you all I know and have learned on rebuilding this Kohler engine and this 1973 Wheel horse tractor.
