i had a plan of getting another pair of hinges. itll have 4 connecting points so the trunk will stay flush and stiff and itll open up and stay level the whole way up. Maybe a cool party trick putting your drink down on the trunk and opening it up while it stays upright.

Which screws did you use on the back of the hinges, are they the flat ones?

Why didn't you just use a longer screw? Not to long it bowed but enough go secure it.
