ECCVID Keynote Lecture: Global response to COVID-19: next steps featuring Maria van Kerkhove of WHO

Maria van Kerkhove is the Technical Lead for COVID-19, the Head of the Emerging Diseases and Zoonoses Unit and the MERS-CoV Technical Lead in the World Health Organization’s Health Emergency Program.

She spoke at the ESCMID Conference on Coronavirus Disease (ECCVID) which initially took place online from Wednesday 23rd to Friday 25th September 2020 and covered many aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. ECCVID featured a comprehensive scientific programme spanning a wide range of topics surrounding this emerging threat.

Many internationally renowned clinical microbiologists, infectious diseases specialists and experts from related disciplines attended and presented the latest findings on COVID-19, hosted practical workshops and participated in many hot topic debates during the live event.
