ITV News Entertainment Reporter Rishi Davda sat down with Barry Manilow as he gets ready to end his UK touring with a fortnight residency at the London Palladium.

He never set out to become a popstar, but that’s how things played out, bringing a 34-year-old unknown to the Palladium in 1978.

It’s fair to say that fan’s took to him immediately. Barry remembers British fans as "louder than any other audience".

Big Manilow fan here. He looks great. Very telling informative interview! I was surprised he thought “he stunk.” I also didn’t know that touring has gotten old for him and he’s done with it. Awesome he’s gonna keep making music! And hopefully keep performing in Vegas.

He should sing till he's dead. He still, after all these years, doesn't realise how great he is as a performer and this is what he was born for, not sitting at home making records. Makes me feel sad and disappointed I'll never be able to watch him perform again while he's still able to do it.
