Max lvl is 30, and, yes, you can switch between them at any time. Use the Phase Shifter at the Watchtower (Heroes) or Hall of Doom (Villain). You can use the map to determine their exact location, once you're there.

This game is NOT a pay4win game. Here u can get every armor, weapon, etc but of u want 6 characters, more inventory all u have to do is spend 5$ in anything from the game and the DLCs are really awesome. Some dlcs get u new armor, style and weapons.

This game kicks butt. I play it every weekend(weekend because of school) and every character I have is level 30 :D

Player Versus Environment - it means other players cant harm you.

In PVP players of the opposing faction can attack you freely. In PVE you have to be challenged to a duel in order to fight. Also, as far as I know, 30 is the cap. I haven't played in a while so it may have changed.

In the PvE phase players can't attack you unless you're flagged for PvP. If that's your question.

don't mean to beat a dead horse but I don't think anyone brought this up. I think you might've been thinking of combat rating which is very similar to one's level in most games. If you're combat rating 64 and some one else is at rating 30 It'll feel like you are 34 levels higher even though both of you read as "level 30"
