As a kid I always wondered why Allison left David over something trivial like Bean living with them, but so many years later I still find it odd. Maybe it was the “last straw” for her and was finally done, but still, I wonder, why couldn’t she talk this through with David? I know it’s not really the point of the movie, but I’m curious about her motives for leaving him.

So the US release of the movie has a different turkey scene, which reuses the turkey gag from the TV episode "Merry Christmas Mr. Bean" where he gets his head stuck in the turkey. Even though this version is much shorter, I think I prefer it with David asking Bean if he's cooked one of these before. Works better as a reference to the turkey gag rather than reuse it (despite other gags the movie reuses).
