my moms had long term covid for 10 months, she's off work just at home with extreme exhaustion and malaise, she just feels really sick. she was extremely sick the 1st week but luckily not hospitalized but just never got better. slowly slowly slowly getting better but she has good and bad days. i dont think shell ever be able to live normally again or go out cause the risk is too high if she gets it again who knows what will happen. from my perspective it's so bizarre listening to people say things like it's nothing or mock it! you have no idea how fked up the virus really is it's pure evil, wouldn't wish it on even the anti safety types you know? doctors know ZERO about it they just tell her to rest but she can barely fcking walk like shes some cripple her neurology or something is fked! specialists know nothing either, could be years before shes better or 2 weeks they said, or just don't mock it, don't gotta be scared but fk, seeing it upclose is fked up
