Minecraft Distant Horizons is one of the most immersive mods ever and its FINAL update is here. Distant Horizons creates a more realistic minecraft experience by rendering chunks far off in the distance and then painting a cool fog over it all. Today lets take a look at the mod for the first time, talk settings, and then dive into the new update

I saw Distant Horizons showcased by a different creator way back in March and it blew my mind even then! This mod is amazing and I would love to see it integrated into vanilla Minecraft!

for loading chunks in a world, I would recommend the chunky mod. You can use a command and render so much

My dream is to build multiple connected cities and villages in Minecraft and this mod is perfect.

My favorite part about distant horizons. Is I’ve been able to ditch waypoints entirely in my hardcore world. Geographic features are my waypoints now!

This mod makes finding specific biomes, end cities, nether fortress so much easier. So much less need for f3 coordinates and chunkbase. It feel like how vanilla should be!

I'm in a Wattles video YAY 2:02

I first stumble upon his channel while searching for how to make a cooking smelter back in 2020
And then carried on to binge his on time Minecraft series that made me learn a lot of things
I remember the storage dome he created and I copied everything in my world block to block

I've been following development of this mod for around 2 years. I'm so Fascinated by it and happy it finally got recognition. Tons of respect to the developer!

I have a pretty extensive mixture of performance mods that work well together:
sodium, modernfix, immediately fast (this one is insanely good. Basically doubled to tripled vanilla chunk loading speed), starlight, moreculling, memory leak fix, lithium, lazy dfu, krypton, ferritecore and entity culling. All of these work pretty well together and most of them do not affect most mods (if they do, they're usually mentioned). Each one of them I use to run minecraft with DH and a shader pack.
I also use a bunch of vanilla enhancing mods. Mostly sound related so the world doesn't feel as dead and stale.

We just need a server version that'll push generated data to clients. That way it's all automatic and everyone sees the same things when stuff changes (pillars, perimeters, beacons etc)

the beacon thing is so freaking cool, I've been playing on a server and now i can see the beacon from my friends like 3000 blocks away, it reminds me of the scene in lord of the rings when minas morgul is lit up. also it does show color, i think the yellow was just too white, i can clearly see the purple beacon from spawn in the server i'm in

In bedrock edition you can technically go as high as you want. All you have to do is find the "options" txt file and set the "view distance" to the render distance you want *16 and there you go. Vanilla distant horizons in full hd. It's also very smooth in my experience up to 300 render distance with 30 fps. If you want you can also add rtx and change the render distance there too.

The way playing this game feels without this mod after youve played it with it is crazy. Always feeling like somethings out of reach or your missing something just beyond the fog that could be truly beautiful. When your using the mod and see across the ocean to a biome you really like and want to build a home at but then realize that if you didnt have DH you likely would have never even known it was there
