I've had a pair of super pro differential bushings sitting in my to-do bin for years. Your video just inspired me to start installing them on the old differential hanger. And thanks for the great idea of putting the bushings in the freezer first! Many thanks again for this video.

You should use dish soap as a lubricant to insert the poly bushings, rather than poly bushing lube. You want the soap to allow the bushings to slide in, but then lose its slipperiness once the soap dries

Very informative, can’t wait for the follow up video.

I did my diff bushings + LSD a few months ago. Definitely noticed a bit more NVH afterwards but nothing I couldn't put up with. Also when you're actually swapping the diff, drain the old diff first or you'll end up smelling like gear oil for a while lol. When I did mine I left the axles in the hub and took all the joints apart from there too so it wouldn't change the alignment. Really not too bad of a job.

Definitely interested to see the process of swapping the diff. I've got bushings on the shelf in my garage bc my FX-350 clutch chattering beat the living shit out of the stock ones.

What hardness of bushings did you use? Are you satisfied? I installed 85 SHA silentblocks on the diff in my NC. Nothing vibrates when drifting, but the vibrations have started to be transferred to the bodywork. I'm still hesitant to put anything soft back in there.

Are you able to tell us the torque specs

Any intention to paint the differential? Yours doesn’t look too bad to be fair but wondered how difficult it would be with all the hard to reach crevices.

what's the color of your NC? Is it Copper Red? Looks awesome when it's so shiny 😎

Hey
I've been watching your videos for many years, and a recurring thought when watching them is that you need to invest in some better tools. I know you're not a mechanic, and that's fine, but this job would have been so much easier if you took the bracket off the diff and put it in a bench vise. ( I couldn't see one in your garage) Chasing the diff around the garage floor didn't look good but more importantly, you could have done a much better job, in half the time and with way less strain on your body.
I don't know how anyone can work in a garage without a bench vise.
Ps. This was not meant to be criticism but a suggestion to make your life a whole lot easier.
