Given,
H=25m, u=40m/s

Let, g=10m/s², theta = x

H=u²sin²x/2g
25 = (40)² sin²x / 2(10)
25 = 1600 sin²x / 20
25 = 80 sin²x ( since, 1600/20 = 80)
sin²x = 25/80
sin²x = 5/16
sin x = √(5/16)
sin x = √5/4
x = sin inverse (√5/4)
x ≈ 0.559 ≈ 34°

Now, range is :
R = u² sin2x/g
R = (40)² sin(2×34) / 10
R = 1600 sin 68° / 10
R = 160 × 0.9271
R = 148.3m

Sir is the answer correct?

Question 4, level 2: if maximum velocity is zero for y direction how come it is not 0 for velocity in x direction? At the maximum height the velocity is 0 for all direction no?

Sir, i think you made a mistake in solving the NEET–2022 question at 1:30:10, you had to take u cos theta as vertical component of velocity becomes zero at max height, hence answer is 10 (cos 60°) = 5 m/s 😊
