I got introduced to Suno a few months ago. My son was watching a silly video and a light bulb went off in my head. I have books of poems I wrote in middle and high school back in the 90s. It was so amazing to hear them come to life. For someone like me who can't sing or play but understands a little about structuring, this app is great. It inspired me to dig deeper and write more and discovering keys and bpm's. And now have over 50 songs made from the past and new. It's cool to have something to listen to in the car besides the same 10 songs played on the radio lol

I am a singer/songwriter, and Suno has changed the game for me. I can write and produce my songs, then drop it into Bandlab, create the stems, sing my vocals, and master them. In hours rather than weeks. Thank you so much!

I discovered Suno a few days ago and I’m using V4, which is noticeably better than V3.5.
I have lots of ideas but I’ve never studied music or mastered any instrument; to me, Suno is an instrument worth mastering and with the help of tutorials like yours, I’m sure things will only get better.

Love your calm style.
I find very adorable how you are so composed but can’t help smiling when you listen to the songs!

Already use Suno, but great tutorial. Nice, calm narrative and straight to the point.

As a songwriter I prefer to add my melody or idea raw and let the app produce music idea and so far imo it’s like having your own session players.

One trick I learned is to extract the Suno acapella vocal then run it through Vocs AI, that way you can customize the style of the singer

Very important aspects regarding copyright.
Non-exclusive, but almost: The license you grant to Suno is "non-exclusive", which means that you could theoretically still use your content for other purposes. However, the breadth of rights granted to Suno (reproduction, modification, distribution, creation of derivative works, etc.) effectively makes it difficult for you to fully exercise your copyright, especially if Suno decides to use your content for commercial purposes or to improve its AI.

Sublicensability and assignment: The ability for Suno to sublicense your content to third parties and assign the license in turn means that your content could be used by anyone, for any purpose, without you having any control over that use.

Broad and general purpose: The license is granted to Suno for a variety of very broad and general purposes, which include not only providing and improving the service, but also promoting, marketing and monetizing it. This means that Suno can use your content for any commercial purpose, without owing you any additional compensation.

Waiver of moral rights: The waiver of moral rights means that Suno can modify your content in any way, without you being able to object, even if such modifications would damage your reputation or your artistic integrity.

In conclusion, even if you formally retain ownership of your content, in fact the license you grant to Suno is so broad that it gives them a position of almost exclusive control and exploitation. Suno effectively has the same exploitation rights as you, creating a situation of dual ownership that, in practice, could severely limit your ability to exercise your copyright.

It is essential to fully understand these implications before using the Suno AI service or any other similar tool.

been writing lyrics, story's since i was 13 yrs old (1984), i've tried creating lyrics with ai, but it doesn't feel right. AI can't express real feelings in lyrics. Also give the metatag [breakdown] a try.

Major issue is that you can't own or commercially use the music if you stop subscription and that's purely against the laws. Because once you pay and produce, by paying for the service, it should become yours forever. But here Suno stops you from that. One can understand they can not issue copyright may be they have used some music pieces from some songs in past. But they should allow produced music to be yours and not keep licensed as theirs.

I don't understand the lyrics thing where you said you can only use 60.seconds or whatever.
The whole reason I would want to use this to I mean I would want to sing and then you know they can correct my voice and make it sound different but I still wanted to be mine. And I want my lyrics and I want my style beats. Am I able to do that? Like right an entire song the way you normally would with lyrics sing it into the app and then and then allow it to create music around it based on what I want. And then another thing I want to know is like if I'm not happy with what it's doing am I able to correct it? Or do you just get one shot song created that's the end?

Basically like maybe I'm looking for a different sort of app. Because I would like to create music maybe like I would on my old electric piano that someone stole. It was a cool one though and you know I want to start adding instruments and or I'm electronic beats, You know a little bit at a time like a traditional music editing program I guess. I just figured I could do the same thing I would do on one of those but Not by having to learn to use some crazy complex music editing software but instead to be able to just describe it in words and if I'm not happy correct it and keep adding to it until I get what I want.
So yeah super long question and sorry about that but am I able to do that here or do you recommend something different?
