Heavily inspired by other similar videos on Youtube I've tried to achieve a higher quality version. The video footage comes from the French movie Les Chevaliers du Ciel (Sky Fighters). The sound clip is Into the Fire from Thirteen Senses.

The movie features in my opinion absolutely spectacular footage from fighter planes. This video is purely made as a tribute to the movie and the awesome song.

Our son was in Afghanistan as a US Marine, part of a fire team (3Bat/3Marine/3platoon) when they got into a seriously one-sided fire fight. US forces were "otherwise engaged" and not available for support. The French replied to their calls for air support and offered two of their ground attack aircraft...my son is quite possibly here today because of them. He said they flew right to the edge of their envelope, taking serious risks to keep the Tangos at bay until the unit could reform and reengage. God bless the French. Thank you.

Great video, I have a lot of respect for the French Air Force. One of my good friends flies the F-15c here in the US and said that the French pilots are some of the best he has cross trained with.

Stunning piloting, photography and the aircraft response is unbelievable.  Being married to a pilot who flew for 31 years makes me especially emotional and appreciative of those thousands in the cockpit who do this everyday and do it safely.

Love the song and the movie. Just incredible. I wanted to be a fighter pilot myself. But couldn't due to health reasons.
But you gotta move on from failures. That's the true spirit of a soldier. This is what I heard a veteran speak somewhere on TV while he was addressing the people like me who couldn't get into armed forces due to some reasons.

You don't know it, but I went back to adult school 10 years ago and did the STEM subjects, because I found out I could potentially still join the Dutch Airforce with bad eyesight, and they would pay for the corrective eye surgery. Unfortunately I found out after I had done it, my left eye was 0.25 to much off, it was -5.75 and the max was -5.50 for the Airforce. Anyway I watched your video on my phone every day. Every day I would be with kids 8 years younger then me in school, then would cycle back home, and cycle to fit for free to train as hard as I could. I did this for the whole school year. Aced all my tested. Now I work as a mechanical engineer. I love this video man. I fucking love it. It really helped me change my life.

This is my favorite music video. Not only is the music amazing, but the cinematic shots are amazing! As a pilot, hopefully a future Air Force pilot, and an airplane enthusiast this is amazing to me.

in the 1980s I had the opportunity to visit French airbase "Base aérienne 133 Nancy-Ochey", and talk to some pilots. I was amazed by the professionalism and at same time the functionality mixed with frugality of the installations.
Always great to see people who like their jobs. Uplifting.

There was a proverb among Soviet pilots: "Видишь "Мираж" - не ложись в вираж" (Don't bank when you see a Mirage), which meant an extreme difficulty of fighting Mirage in the horizontal plane

The Mirage is a good aircraft and the aerial scenes shot for this series are really, really good. I remember watching as a child, during the summer holidays on the good old Beeb.
