Find out how many times a value is present in a cell using Formula

We are going to learn how to find occurrence count of a character in any String using Excel Formula.

First Open Excel.

I have predefined excel data for finding occurrence.

Here we are going to count how many times is occurred of "A" in Given String.

Step 1, Replace all "A" character from in String using Substitute formula.

Step 2, Get Length of New Replaced String using Len formula.

Step 3, Get Master String Length using Len formula.

Step 4, Now we find subtraction of Master String Length and New Replace String.

Now i am Merging all broken formula in Single Formula.

Please remember this formula is case sensitive.
