Thought that the transitions from Hot for Teacher to Eruption to You Really Got Me were amazing but I couldn't find a video with all three. So I combined a few from YouTube!

EVH looked so healthy here. It’s hard to imagine that he would only live another 5 years after this. Thanks for the memories EVH and Van Halen. The BEST EVER!

One of my favorite things about Eddie is how he always looks so amazed at his own guitar playing.

No singer had that chaotic energy like Dave. VH in their prime were untouchable.

I was in this audience. One of the greatest moments in all the years of me seeing live music. RIP EVH..

I still can't get over how the crowd is so dull. Can you imagine just sitting there QUIETLY watching the greatest live band ever???

The older I get and the more I watch my own child grow up - In this video Eddie seems like a dad who’s just thrilled to be on stage sharing a passion with his son 💚

EVH looks so happy. Very proud to have young Wolfie on stage with him. God Bless Eddie. You are sadly missed.

The Earth is 4.5 billion years old and I managed to live at the same time as the Mighty Van Halen!

The smile on Eddies face at the start of You really got never fails to bring a tear to my eye. shows how much he loved to play and entertain his fans. R.I.P

Wow this band still sounds exactly the same as in 1978 with high energy and sound. Rest In Peace Eddie. You are missed by billions of fans to this day.

A lesser tragedy was that DLR didn't seem to maintain his voice, warmup or train his voice properly. I realize he never had the range that Sammy did, but he had soul and texture. Singers are athletes. Take care of your gift.

I remember watching this the night it aired. It is what got me into Van Halen. Ed was really firing on all cylinders here and looked like he was having a blast. Long live the legend that is Edward Van Halen!!!

I remember watching this live while on vacation. I had no idea we would lose Eddie not too long after. I don't cry all that often but losing Eddie sure brought the waterworks. He'll always be my hero and the creator of the soundtrack of my youth. How many times did I draw that VH logo on a notebook or a sheet of paper? Man.

Ed was Hendrix to my generation. He changed the guitar landscape forever. God bless him.

Of course Eddie was phenomenal but can we have a round of applause for Alex’s incredible drumming on this track?!?

Man, the memories. Riding my bike with my Sony Walkman listening to the VH cassettes or lying in bed at night blowing out my ears with their music and mom banging on the door to turn it down. Metal and hard rock were my escape and refuge and Van Halen was such a force in my teen years and beyond. Thank you, Eddie, Alex, Michael, Dave and Sammy...

Here you have a legendary band playing incredibly well and a dead crowd focusing on recording everything on their iPhones instead of enjoying what’s going on. There wasn’t a SINGLE applause after Eruption. My G’d!!
