ammon does a great job of using definitions of words that were prevalent at the supposed contemporary time of the source . the mistake ur makin, i believe, is saying the most common definition, though the range is thousands of years, is that implied in a specific time, place and culture of the source . like if someone 2000 years from now translates "bad ass car" to " a car so bad it was like a donkey" . u show nothing to demonstrate the colliquial and temperaneous accuracy of your reading, while (especially throughout the body of his work) ammon does .

Thanks for going on Danny’s show Dan! Really appreciate your courage to make a total fool of yourself.

To be fair, this guy obviously knows what he's talking about when it comes to drugs, so let's not dismiss him out of hand.

You should debate Dr Hillman, he has the sources and the experience with greek language; it'd be very interesting

So everything you said in the beginning leads me to believe you agree? And you instantly contradict your self referencing much later tex. ???

I thought Dr. Hillman was crazy at first but he is not. Also he always has the source text. I’m sure there is some room in translations, however the drug use in the Bronze Age was insane. University of Wisconsin does not give a PhD lightly. His students LOVED him and he is considered on of the most knowledgeable classists out there. What was Jesus doing with a naked boy in public park at 4 AM? Mathew 14: 51-52

My question is, The septuagint was written for early Christians when the belief structure was still not set in stone. There were many Gnostic sects who believed in similar rituals such as the Borborites, Koddians, and Nicolaitans. Others with less extreme beliefs still were quite far from what is accepted today such as the Ophites and the Cainites. So who is to say that these fringe uses of the case words and roots were not skewed with bias as modern scholars compiled these lexicons?

Really all that came out of your mouth was that Ammon was completely accurate in his translation to what the words mean. Good job bud

Where are your sources Dan? You’re a theologian Dan. Not educated enough in classical Greek to debate the usage and meaning of classical Greek words.

Your sources Dan. Where are your sources?

It sounds as though drugs were applied, but not by the author of 1 John 😜

This space cadet has popped up a few times recently and he is clearly smoking something too strong for him. And yet, there will still be those who believe and follow.
The whole world has gone crazy except you and me and I'm not too sure about you.

Can you do another response to Hillman view that Jesus was into drugs and rape rituals

Dwelling on this gadfly remark, but you open by agreeing it refers to the applying of a balm in a ritual sense.

Are you being ironic?

You are verifying Ammon. Should look into dyes metabolised into the skin. Make sure to compare Chemical Structures
