My dentist told me that mini implants are failing at a high rate and their practice will not use them. They have been seeing many patients come in with bad mini dental implants, a lot of them performed in other countries.

If you are ready to have implants the first thing you should be asking the technician is do you use a guided system to drill the holes before installing the butments. In 2014 I was never given this advice and had two implants installed in my bottom jaw the moron that did my work only drilled the two holes without a guide and did an asshole of a job. one was badly angled and now I do not have good retention when connected to the abutments. This video almost suggests that they do the job freehand. Remember the old adage buyer be aware.

Is all mini implants placed straight up and down? If so how can that be the same benefit as regular implants? Those are sometimes placed at different angles- depending on the jaw and what is needed for each patient.
