🎒Offering easy inter-country travel by bus, fun nightlife, plentiful hostel options, beautiful nature, and of course, Burek 🤪 (and other cheap delicious food), the Balkans are a great and up-and-coming destination for backpackers!

🗺️ Here’s the exact route we took through the Balkans. This took us about 2 months bc we prefer to travel at a bit slower pace but you could probably do it in 3 weeks if you were really pressed for time!

🚎 You’ll notice lots of buses, bc buses are hands down the best way to get around the Balkans. They’re cheap, reliable, frequent, and really easy to navigate. We capitalized on a few overnight buses to make the most of our time and cut costs on accommodation as well.
