Is this an actual feature that's used out there in production code? Or is more functional code prevalent where we don't add methods (receiver functions) to objects but rather something like higher order functions and pipe forward?

I do not like that you ignore cases. I read that Go is a case sensitive language. You write the name of the struct in a lower case
